The Ideas Open Mic - London’s Think & Drink Club
London
Meeting people in real life is harder than it should be. And finding a dedicated space to hear and discuss genuinely interesting ideas — over a drink, with good company — is harder than it should be too.
So I decided to do something about it.
The Ideas Open Mic is London’s think and drink night — a recurring evening of handpicked talks in bars where brilliant people share the ideas that excite them most. Think TED talk meets pub night.
Storytellers, academics, entrepreneurs and curious minds take to the stage for 15-20 minutes each. Every speaker is reviewed and selected based on quality, variety and fit — so the evening is always worth your time.
Come along, grab a drink, and leave having heard something that just might change how you think.
Join this club to hear about upcoming events first, and to connect with other curious minds in London.
Hosted by Gareth Lewis Events at The London Art Bar, London.
LGBTQ+ Meetup at London Art Bar
300 High Holborn, London WC1V 7JH, United Kingdom
Looking to meet more LGBTQ+ people? Join us at The London Art Bar for our regular meet-ups hosted by LAB co-founder Gareth.
Now in our fourth year, our meetups are all about meeting new people, making friends, and having a good time in a queer-friendly space.
The meetups have a very relaxed vibe, with background music at just the right volume for chatting to people. There are also some boardgames on the shelves if you fancy playing them. Feel free to bring your own!
I (Gareth) try my best to greet everybody, but this is of course easier at the beginning of the evening. If you are ever stuck, say hello to the friendly bar team who can point you in my direction :)
