Foot Foot

I'm so excited for this gig! I've seen Foot Foot a few times before and have been waiting to see them again. Now they've finally got an album out too! They're a Bristol band, part of that same "Windmill Scene" lineage as Black Country New Road and Black Midi (all restless post-rock builds broken up by bursts of dissonance, with sax and violin woven through). What sets them apart is Esther Pollock's vocals: hushed, flat, almost deceptively calm against the increasingly chaotic instrumentation, which makes for a properly eerie, unsettling contrast given the lyrics dig into themes like abandonment and codependency....
