Meeting people | Making friends - it’s hard making friends as an adult, you’re not alone! This group is open to all genders & all ages ✨ Come along with your friends, boyfriend, husband, neighbour, parents, siblings, pets and anybody in between ❤️ A group for walks, pub quizzes, coffee mornings, foodie evenings and wine nights 🤍 We’re not about organised events, we’re more about meeting in casual (and free) settings and going to events together ❤️ So far, members of the group have attended the likes of York Food Festival, Restaurant Week, Movie nights, These Girls Run and Climbing sessions. As this group has grown over the past 7 weeks, we’ve already established a few core groups that already love to meet up regularly and I am so excited for you to meet really lovely people 🥰 If you’d ever like to meet one on one before an event, please DM me on Instagram and we can arrange something ❤️ It’s always nice to know at least one friendly face if you decide to show up to bigger group events.

🥰 Friendly and welcoming club for all! Where Friends Grow 🌱 is a welcoming social club run by No Plant Left Behind, a not-for-profit connecting people with nature — and each other. Amy set it up after moving back to her childhood city and wanting to meet people in their 20s and 30s who had lots of different interests, not just one. It’s a space where everyone is welcome 🤍 We make friends through nature with hikes, crafting, coffees and chats ☕🌿 with socials run at cost or free to keep things accessible.

New book club in York! We meet once a month at a local eatery, on Saturdays for brunch/lunch. Book of the month is announced with each event booking, and always seeking new members! Let's get together and read something fun while we escape into a different world. We vote on the books and dates After Book Club. We read Romance, Fantasy, and Science Fiction, primarily, but suggestions are always open for when we vote on what we’ll read next! This Book Club is for Women only, and 20+ as we discuss adult topics often. We will talk about the book chosen and then any that you like. You may listen to or read the book. In both cases, you're welcome in this club. Our mission is to empower women to make friends, because making friends when you're an adult is hard! This is a no-judgment space, and I recommend reading the trigger warnings in the books. Story Graph is a free app that does a great job of sharing the warnings. Also, finishing the book is not required to come to book club, but be prepared for spoilers on the day of!
